Spreading your free videos

There are several ways to market your videos whether they are advertising a product or whether you are attempting to create a free video blog. YouTube is a very obvious place to get your videos seen, however, most videos on youtube end up getting buried by a plethora of Rick Rolls and other crap videos that you may surprised are ranking highly for terms you may be using to market yourself.

The key is to submit your free videos to niche sites, and if at all possible, niche sites within your category.

When looking for websites to submit your videos, ensure that you use all the tags you think people would search for, and include the largest target terms in your title and description. Its easy to submit your videos to multiple free video sites that allow uploads, but usually, that alone will not create buzz. Use social bookmarking sites, blog sites, twitter, digg, and other aggregators of information that allow video.

Don’t be vague and use titles and descriptions that can not be easily read and understood immediately. This may work out for search engines, but it can disenfranchise your viewers and cause your submissions to be blocked by your most valuable advertisers for your free videos.
